| Description: |
Manufacturing Engineer needed to assist with product testing and validation. Job Duties Include:
- Various aspects of product manufacturing, materials procurement, feasibility hardware fabrication, and development and execution of characterization testing
- Product validation activities will include test protocol development, participation in product testing, and test report preparation.
- Will interface with vendors for critical component selection and tool qualification
This is a contract assignment expected to last 6-12 months, possibly temp to perm.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 to 10 years of recent/relevant experience with injection molding, metal forming, welding and other metal joining methods
- Experience in the medical device industry is required
- Should have a working understanding of FDA QSR and ISO-13485 principles
- Mechanical Engineering background and experience using SolidWorks a plus
- Must be able to work on their own with little or no supervision and be able to take “ownership” of their piece of the project
- Technical degree required (manufacturing or mechanical preferred)
- Must be extremely well-spoken
- US Citizenship or Green Card preferred

REQUIREMENTS
- 5-10 years experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer
- MUST be familiar with building and providing day to day support of (NEW) semi-automated and automated, manufacturing lines
- Need to be familiar with troubleshooting automated components on production lines
- Have a strong background in product development environments and know how to do all of the up-front work that needs to be done before building a production line
- Any experience with Lean Manufacturing (Six Sigma) principles/certifications is a PLUS
- Any 3D modeling experience is a plus
- US Citizenship, Green Card or TN Visa required
- Degree required, continued education in Six Sigma is a plus
