Title: Sr. Program Manager
Description:

Our client is looking for an individual who started out with a technical background (i.e. project engineer) and then worked their way up into a Project Manager/Program Manager type role.  The want someone who understands how to manage the people, the work and the deadlines for Sustainment projects.  They MUST have recent Medical Device industry experience as well as a solid E/M Product background.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Candidate will manage multi-disciplinary projects that are both regional and global in scope. They will lead multi-site, cross functional project teams that include Documentation, Technical Support, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Purchasing and others as required to ensure quality, on-time and within budget deliverables for large, strategic and tactical projects.  Experience working with electro-mechanical hardware/assemblies in the med device industry would be a huge plus (if not E/M experience, mechanical would be 2nd best – NOT Electrical/S/W products only).  Also, experience working with in-sourcing/outsourcing with other countries (i.e. China) is a big plus.  This position will require 20% travel. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and update project plans, schedules for one or more projects using MS Project
  • Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources leveraging team inputs and strengths
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
  • Manage and oversee vendor relationships including third party implementation teams
  • Provide weekly status reports to the senior management and key project stakeholders
  • Prepare a variety of periodic and ad hoc reports for technical management and business groups and distribute project related data and documentation as appropriate including; project status reports, vendor information, and requirements documents
  • Develop and maintain project documentation
  • Manage project issues, decisions and risks, including escalation to sponsors
  • Oversee all project activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure on-time completion of planned tasks.

 

REQUIRED TRAINING:

  • Strong project management skills and solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • The ability to foster strong working relationships between project teams, user communities, management and vendors
  • The ability to manage multiple project plans concurrently and prioritize tasks appropriately under changing conditions
  • Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines and expectations while ensuring overall quality of delivery
  • Confidence in preparing and delivering presentations to small and large groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective business relationships
  • Ability to travel as required.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education in a related field
  • Minimum of five years of related experience
  • Experience in regulated industries such as Medical Devices
  • PMP certification is a Plus

Description:

The client is seeking a project engineer to assist their engineering group.  Candidates MUST have recent project management experience within the interstate Natural Gas industry and have extensive knowledge with pipeline construction (to include:12”- 30” liquid lines, processing plants, compression stations, etc. ).  They should also be familiar with regulatory codes and standards (DOT, NEC, FERC) and ideally have exposure to ethane based systems and lines.  Candidates will be responsible for managing multi-state pipeline projects ranging from upgrades to new construction.

Description:

The Program Manager will manage multi-disciplinary projects that are both regional and global in scope. This position is based around Process Engineering type tasks where the candidate will be managing things like line transfers or optimization projects with suppliers.  Experience with plastics processing and molding automation is also highly preferred.

Travel will be about 25% and will include international trips
